This Friday the Presidential Commissioner for the United Nations, Miguel Pizarro, participated in the seminar “Migrants and Venezuelan Refugees: current situation and panorama” where it was exposed the crisis of more than six million Venezuelans who have fled from Maduro’s dictatorship.

The event, which was held virtually, was attended by the Commissioner of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the crisis of Venezuelan migrants and refugees, David Smolansky; the Interim Director for the Americas of Human Rights Watch, Tamara Taraciuk, and the President of the civil association ‘Kapé Kapé’, Armando Obdola.
Commissioner Pizarro remarked that Venezuela is experiencing one of the worst Humanitarian Emergencies in the world as a result of the incompetence of Nicolás Maduro’s regime that has destroyed the country’s economic, political, social and cultural system.
“Such a situation has triggered that at least a third of the population is in extreme need, requires assistance, and is forced to leave their country in search of opportunities,” said the Legitimate Government official.
Similarly, the official celebrated the initiative that nations such as Colombia, the United States, Brazil and Ecuador have adopted to benefit the Venezuelan migrant community.
“This allows Venezuelan refugees and migrants to be included, regularized and inserted into society,” he concluded.
