Mr. Prado rejected the actions of officers of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), who extrajudicially executed Rafael Dimilson Guzmán Santaella in Ocumare del Tuy in Miranda State.

“Extrajudicial executions have been a State policy for many years in Venezuela,” denounced the Commissioner, who assured that only in 2020, 3,034 people were killed at the hands of the police and the military.

The Commissioner stated that most of the victims are young people living in extreme poverty.

Faced with this violation of human rights, Commissioner Prado assured that the intervention of the police body and an investigation process of all the chain of command is necessary.
