El príncipe Guillermo cocinó una dosa, un plato típico de la cocina india, el lunes en Bombay después de reunirse junto a su esposa Catalina con uno de sus más grandes admiradores, un hombre de 93 años que cumplió con el sueño de su vida.
Guillermo se reunió con empresarios e inventores en la megalópolis del oeste de India, antes de cocinar la famosa crepe india con un aparato llamado DosaMatic.
“El duque dijo que le gustaría mucho tener este aparato en su palacio”, dijo el inventor del dispositivo, Eshwar Vikas, a los periodistas.
La pareja real se reunió el domingo por la noche con Boman Kohinoor, dueño del café parsi más conocido de Bombay.
Kohinoor, de 93 años, es conocido como el admirador número uno de la familia real británica en India. Afiches gigantes de Guillermo y Catalina decoran su café.
El viernes había dicho a la AFP que quería conocer a la pareja real a cualquier precio. Su sueño se hizo realidad luego de que una campaña en las redes sociales, con el hashtag #WillKatMeetMe, llegara a oídos de la pareja.
“A TRH (Sus Altezas Reales) les conmovió y lo invitaron a su hotel, antes de la gala benéfica de ayer por la noche”, anunció el palacio de Kensington el lunes en Twitter, con una foto de la pareja en compañía de Kohinoor.
Pasó 10 minutos hablando con ellos en el hotel Taj Mahal Palace antes de que la pareja disfrutara de un baile de caridad con estrellas de Bollywood.
“Quedé impresionado. Nunca me imaginé que el príncipe sea tan encantador y la princesa Catalina tan hermosa”, dijo Kohinoor a la AFP en su restaurante.
Kohinoor, que regaló a Catalina un ramo de flores amarillas, admitió que estaba un poco nervioso.
“Les deseé un futuro feliz y envié mis buenos deseos para Su Majestad la Reina Isabel y también les pedí que dieran un beso al príncipe Jorge y a la princesa Carlota de mi parte”, agregó.
El lunes, Guillermo se puso al volante de un simulador de autos de carreras en el encuentro con empresarios, en el que habló con dirigentes de Mahindra Racing, fabricantes de coches eléctricos.
Guillermo y Catalina fueron luego a Delhi, donde rindieron homenaje a Mahatma Gandhi, figura de la independencia India.
Por la noche asistirán a una fiesta en honor a la reina Isabel. AFP
