These are file pictures of tragic model-turned-actress Monica Spears as she promoted her latest soap opera ‘Forbidden Love’ at an event in Miami in January of 2013. The 29-year-old, who was crowned Miss Venezuela in 2004, was traveling with her ex-husband Henry Berry, 39, and their 5-year-old daughter Maya in the notoriously-dangerous south american nation when their car broke down. According to reports, after they pulled over to deal with the problem around 10pm on Monday, a gang of youths appeared from the road side and shot the family after they resisted a robbery.
